Strap flats beneath wide denim and a short cardigan
The broad denim partly conceals the strap flat, while the short cardigan creates a clear upper edge above the long opaque jersey base. This is a different shoe visibility and layer task from a midi skirt or cropped straight trouser.

Check it on you
Check the jean hem during a full step, buckle reach and cardigan closure over the jersey. The shorter cardigan must not remove the intended torso coverage supplied by the base.
Make it work with what you own
Use plain loafers if the strap is awkward and recheck the hem. A longer cardigan changes the upper edge but can keep the same familiar denim-and-flat base.
