Fit the garment to the chosen height

Try the exact shoe when checking hem length. Sit, walk and use a stair in the full outfit. Do not assume a trouser or long skirt hemmed for one height will work unchanged with another.

Match the route

The heel looks are for a host-approved indoor event, office or dry evening route. Grass, rain and long walking may call for a different shoe. A block heel is not a guarantee of comfort, balance or terrain suitability.

Keep the flat alternative real

Change to a familiar dressy flat and check the hem again. The outfit library filters flat shoes separately, so a heel formula will not silently satisfy that preference. No age, body size or style preference requires heels.

Three useful starting outfits

Try a matte blouse with dark denim for an explicitly informal party, a tailored long-sleeved occasion dress for a host-approved cocktail event, or blouse and long skirt with blazer for a separates-friendly office. The code and garment fabric decide formality.
